Twelve Days of Giving: Friends of the Earth

Three days ago the local river flooded and we walked down to see what had happened. Baildon Bridge had turned into a wall in the river with water spreading out into surrounding land and roads. This pile of rubbish washed against the bridge seemed to be a symbol of the underlying problem: that are not taking care of the world in which we live.

Friends of the Earth is one of the organisations that works to protect the environment and to raise awareness of the both the damage that we are causing and the potential consequences. We can’t afford to continue trashing the planet and so today I am donating to Friends of the Earth.
